Well we squeeked one out. Our bats need to wake up. The defense will come around but it's the bats that are holding us back. The A's can bring it. If the lefty had any kind of control (especially against fellow lefties), the result would have been different. They played good defense, at least until the end. But good teams find a way to win, and we did. I predict a higher score for us next week.
BTW - We need to get rid of this login requirement. Nobody's using the board!

I agree with the hitting. Personally, I'm just getting too damn eager up there swinging at stupid pitches. I want to hit so friggin bad that I forget about the count, what the situation is, everything. And then I end up swinging out of my shoes because I'm too amped up.
It shall change next week though! I promise!

To get better we need to practice! Only Seth, Colby, Jay, Joe, and myself made it out today.
We had a great practice. Larry Hendrickson hit Joe about a thousand ground balls and as many fly balls as the outfielders could take. I haven't had that good of a workout since last year!
Please, please try to make it to practice next week. We can only improve if we each make the commitment to do so together!

Really, we're not gonna continue to win these close games unless we practice. We very easily could be 0-2 right now!
